Today we met to start prepping for our first FTC robot! First, a member of the LegitBots FTC team taught us about gear ratios, how to calculate the gear ratio of a set of gears, and how gear ratios work. We practiced calculating gear ratios and observing the gears while they were turning. We also learned how to program a servo motor and brainstormed some ideas for how we want to incorporate a servo motor into our robot! During the meeting, we thought of some possible designs for an arm and how to build it. We got about halfway into building the arm of the robot!
